I'm very slowly making my way towards Boston, so slowly it looks almost as if I'm sitting in a pub in London.
I've just been told that a need a strategy for the marathon, so I've decided to re-use the one I used for a 20 mile race last month. 9 minute miles for the first 18, then switch to 18 minute miles.

That is lovely pacing No83912
Hubby & I popped to the informal meet & greet this evening - there's a few international travellers this year; we chatted to runners from the US, Germany, Yugoslavia, and London! Also met the infamous Steve Edwards
If I don't see you in the loo q in the morning (I'll be wearing a white Butterfly Hospice vest) then have a fabulous race. Keep an eye out for the baby goats and try not to get bored of the sight of cabbages!
Good luck all x

I had quite a terrible day, a missed connection in Nottingham saw me having to run an impromptu 5K between Sheffield Meadowhall and Sheffield station at 4 am.
By mile six I knew the marathon would not go well, it was too flat, so around mile 9 I gave up and decided to just walk to the end. I did do some running from time to time later on, but I doubt I've ran more than 13 of the 26 miles.
I think Minardi sprinted past me around mile 10, and the guy in the minion costume passed me at mile twenty.
My time was 5:40ish, so almost a 2 hour improvement from my last/fist LDWA marathon. This will undoubtedly anoy the 23 people who bet on me, hoping I would get a time closer to colindglen's.

Well done both of you on your PBs. Sorry things didn't go how you wanted No83912, but still a massive imprvement. I bet on both of you and I reckon your improvement will mean more betting points than colindglen's so the betters will be happy

No83912 - you didn't say anything to make yourself known - shame on you! Were you not aware that Boston is the flattest UK marathon? The wind makes up for the lack of hills (and that wind was cold today!) Well done Colin - you were too fast for me to see you this year- lovely peebee

Think I saw you about mile 14 Minardi. Were you running with a group?
