And let me add... what appalling sexism! Were I a "lady", I'd get an extra half hour!!

Most of the women runners I know can batter my times into dust!

Maybe if I wear a dress....

Once a Sprinter ...
Very happy. Achieved BQ (sub3:40 for my advanced age) at Berlin yesterday and was expecting 2013 to be closed so this would be for 2014.

However, there were still 2013 places last night so entered at the airport on the way home!

Once a Sprinter ...
It's not! Picked up hamstring jury at recent Cambs XC (6th) and not run since! Enthusiasm dropped considerably and not yet booked my plane ticket

How is your training proceeding? Everyone on schedule for April 15?

Re pricing etc - I booked six nights in a smart B&B across the river for £380 total (incl booking fee). I think from memory the room rate was less than £60 per night and it is about 3 miles north of the finish area and easily accessible to the airport.

Also for my other half, it is close to Harvard/MIT so we can do a bit of sightseeing afterwards.

For future reference I booked it through www.airbnb.com back in September

As for the training - on track (I think).

I have just had 3 successive race w/e an XC; Wokingham HM (PB) and Bramley 20m which I ran as a fast finish (progressive) run. Bramley has hills at m8-9 and 16-18 so is a reasonable simulation for Heartbreak Hill if run on tired legs which I defintely had....

MKS, you are going to have a good time. Is this your first Boston?
