Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Was the book dead simple? Or dead boring?

It was an unscary horror book. Just a load of old clichés and tropes chucked together with zero character building and waaay too much product placement. Bafflingly bad!

I tried a Peter James once and found it unreadable. And I am someone who will happily read James Patterson, David Baldacci and any one of a host of other pulp thriller writers.

I read the first Peter James Roy Grace book. It wasn’t terrible, but it was great and certainly didn’t make me want to read any more. Nor did an interview I heard with him recently. Greppers, have you read/heard of the Christopher Fowler Bryant & May books? Reading one now and it feels right up your street.

Which thread is this again?

Off to google now Dio.

I feel really guilt about liking the Baldacci Will Robbie series. Really huge dumb fun and I love them. Sorry.

I will give Fowler a look. Day off on Monday so a trip to Waterstones is absolutely inevitable
