Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Daz the Slug, O Daz the Slug
we have caught the reading bug
a book we need to calm our fever
as Greppers is such an eager beaver.

Make it short or make it medium
something to relieve the tedium
but for God's sake you will make me frown
if you even consider picking Dan Brown

Actually that rhyme makes no sense as Daz is choosing the chooseriser, not the book

Daz, O Daz, please choose a chooser

If anyone wants to sing my one in the bath, I think the tune, by Sir John Goss (1800–1880), is called "Humility".

That reminds me, the firs song I ever wrote was based, thematically, on HDN. I was 10.

“When I’m working late at night
And I don’t get home ‘til one o clock
I really need that sleep
(Oh yeah)
But when I wake up in the morning

and the kids say “Hello, Dad”
And I’ve got my love beside me
I know that can’t be bad.

Can’t be bad, can’t be bad,
Can’t be bad, can’t be bad
You know that can’t be bad.”

Really trying to get back into reading regularly. Have lapses of late. Downloaded HHhH to read on hols. In the meantime, I joined the local library. Thought would ease myself in gently with Conclave by Robert Harris.

With echoes of She Loves You.

What a very sophis 10 year old you were, Dio!

(First song I wrote aged about the same was called 'You Never Said Hello To Me' which sounds extremely needy and pitiful.)
