I can't fathom the amount of fortitude it takes to do a Wainwrights round, I know I would never have a quarter of what's necessary. It was nice to be part of his support, though I hope I still have some climb left in my legs for Duddon tomorrow!

Does no one do 'just' a Bob Graham anymore?  Is he going for an extra peak (or peaks) or same number of peaks as Kim but faster? |

So Mungrisedale appears on his list of peaks but isn't in the list of valid peaks for a 24 hour record.... Am I missing something??

Mungrisdale is a grey dot, rather than red, on the map itself. Guess there's some difference to them but I'm not sure what. Unless it's leg changeovers, given Dunmail and Wasdale Head also look like grey dots.

That makes sense Paul. Caldew might have been a better description. Looks like he's 100 mins behind Kim at Rossett and 30 mins behind his own schedule which seems to rely on him going much quicker than Kim at the back end. So given the fine margin of 24 hour records I think he's dead in the water. I can't say the name means anything to me. Was it ever a realistic attempt? |

Ah! My brain has just caught up. It's the US based Brit who did a fast BG 5 years or so ago. I'd forgotten all about him. Appears he's won Leadville 100 as well. So it was fairly realistic but he has a lot of work to do at this point. Probably too much.
