NE there is a list on their facebook page of various attempts and if you download the app there is a link to most public BG ones on the frontpage.

MC it's possible to have a tracker and request the link isn't made public. If you then only share it with your support it just becomes a very useful tool to enable them to be ready for you at the right time and adjust plans accordingly.

The trackers which are currently most used (James Thurlow's Open Tracking) were used at Open Adventure's big adventure races in 2010 and 2012, which I took part in. It was still a bit of an experimental system then though. So 2013-2014 sounds about right.. For me, a tracker would be one extra thing to have to worry about, one extra thing to make sure your supporters handover between legs. And they're not that small/light, going by the ones I've carried before. I think for me I'll leave it well alone. |

DT - I'm intrigued by your comment about a "genuine double lapper"... I know Nicky Spinks did something where she ran half the round, then doubled back etc. on her double. Is that viewed as not being a proper double BG? Or is one thought of as being easier than the other?

It’s none of my business MC because a double of BG of any kind is waaaay out of my league but fwiw a double BG should be two complete rounds, beginning and ending at the Moot Hall (imho)

Ok, I can see how mentally it might be easier to break it up differently. And the mental aspect may well be the toughest.
