I can't say I've ever heard of him and it seems to have gone right under the radar. I don't think the reference I saw to a "fast" round was related.

Incredible support all round from the dream team. Leg 1, Glyderau, solo Leg 2, Carneddau, John Rowley Leg 3, Siabod and Moelwyns, Richard Roberts Leg 4, Hebog and Nantlle Ridge, Jonathan Moore Leg 5, Snowdon, Jonathan Moore, Darren Roberts, Noel Craine, Callum OD, John Rowley, Ed Harmer. Road support, the ever-reliable Emma Smyth and the dream team possé. Total time: 17hrs 37mins 39secs I wonder if "Math" is right? I have a Matthew and he would be distressed if you called him that. "Matt" is OK.
