Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Yep, "awesome" sums it up nicely. You'd have to be pretty resilient to get into Derwentwater at 9.00pm on a cold and frosty night, especially if you'd just spent the last 22 hours plugging around the fells and lakes.

I've been informed of a few more details this morning: In case anyone is wondering how Tim managed to swim across Derwentwater in such a linear fashion, it transpires that Keswick MRT turned out and escorted him across in a RIB. Well, if you have the contacts ...

There is a mid-Winter FGR attempt ongoing: Simon Gray left the Moot Hall at 0500 this morning and is flying, currently near the top of Grisedale Pike. At this rate he's on for a record round, never mind doing the first mid-Winter FGR. Simon has done a sub-20 BGR in the past.

Anyone wants to see the tracker link, FMail me.
