Camping at Cove 26th and 27th, then the NT at Wasdale 28th and 29th - have youngest and mad Springer in tow, so somewhat tied to sensible excursions.

I like the way up that way, then take in Red Pike, Scoat Fell, Pillar and descend to Wasdale via the UTLD100 route in reverse from Black Sail. A gorgeous little walk

And if I wasn't planning a "quick" escape leaving youngest and dog to entertain themselves for an afternoon that's just what I'd do

How old is the youngest? Always give them a brown beer voucher and leave then at Wasdale Pub

Planning on taking teen and dog over Illgill head and Whin Rigg. Youngest would like to "bag" Scafell pike -if it's cooler I might consider it, but it's too much for the dog in this weather. I'm happy to try all sorts on my own............

Very jealous. Wasdale Head in my opinion is just about the last unspoilt valley. The number of dickheads you'll meet (with the exception of the 3-peakers) will be negligible.

Oh I don't know, there's plenty of unspoiled little valleys out there. You just haven't looked hard enough.
