Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Marillion fans of the world unite. In the 80s I hated bands like Tears For Fears and Roxy Music, but have seen them in concert over the last few years and really enjoyed grown on me. Must be getting old.

And onto 1993. Not a vintage year for me. Out of the top 10 is Suede by a country mile. But I nominate Modern Life is Rubbish by Blur. Their second best album for me after 13

Tricky choice. Hard to ignore Marvin, but Quadrophenia has a place in my teenage heart (I wasn't a teenager in '73, I just watched the movie then listened to the album repeatedly then).

Vs. Pearl Jam for me, so as it's top 10 anyway no nomination.

That said, if nobody else does, I'd nominate Paul Weller - Wild Wood.

About This Thread

Hello pop pickers. OK the premise is simple. Over the next year or two I'm going to post a number of polls to find the best ever album according to Fetch users. Which will mean it is definitively the best album ever obviously 😉

I'm getting the lists of 10 from this website besteveralbums.com and also taking nominations.

The answer will be Astral Weeks 😉
