Take something which will cover your ears - beanie or buff - in case it's windy. I've had terrible earache due to the wind some years. Fragile Do Not Bend Oct 2021 1:58pm, 5 Oct 2021 8,761 posts	0 Fragile Do Not Bend I’ve tested my walking speed on long walks with similar terrain and once I factor in modest food and toilet breaks I would be finishing VERY close to 9 hours. I guess I’ve got short legs! So I’ve got to at least run the downhills to build up a buffer in case I slow down towards the end.

There are plenty of places where you can run a little bit if you want to up your pace. You’ll be fine
