Fragile Do Not Bend
I think I will too worried about missing the cut off to have anything other than the briefest stops :)

Nine hours is plenty, even if you walk the whole thing as I've done a couple of times.

Take something which will cover your ears - beanie or buff - in case it's windy. I've had terrible earache due to the wind some years.

Blog from 2014 when I walked and took lots of pics along the way: fetcheveryone.com/blog/8414/2014/10/322559

I’ve tested my walking speed on long walks with similar terrain and once I factor in modest food and toilet breaks I would be finishing VERY close to 9 hours. I guess I’ve got short legs! :) So I’ve got to at least run the downhills to build up a buffer in case I slow down towards the end.

Based on training times I should be able to finish in 7.5 to 8 hours but it’s the worry that the course might be harder than I’m anticipating and that extra hour or so might not be enough…. anyway I’m worrying too much. :)

The pub stop perks you up and makes you faster for the last 10 miles :) Plus I normally need a wee around then anyway and their loos are nicer than a portaloo!
There are plenty of places where you can run a little bit if you want to up your pace. You’ll be fine

Oo Frag I’ll be there. A lady did her foot in and hobbled the last 10 miles when I swept and still did 9hrs so I reckon you’ll be ok

I might be with you Dips and FDNB. Hoping to be fit enough to walk with the occasional jog.
