I’m in a bit of a quandary and I keep working myself up into a right state. I feel like I’ve got no one to talk to about it! I want someone to look at it all and tell me what to do but that’s not really going to happen. I keep wavering from one side to the other! I know I’m talking in riddles but it’s a long story and I feel like I’m just boring everyone senseless going over and over things! My husband is fed up of it anyway but he just doesn’t understand! I managed to not think about it for a couple of days then I explained something to the old lady I work with and bang it’s all just there again and I just need to find a way forward to resolve things! |

Is there anyone at your running club you could talk to? We've been struggling with our eldest he's started a degree, so everything is new and he's overwhelmed. The last two weeks have been slightly better, but we are all a bit frazzled and sleep deprived. |

jelly - I'm happy to lend an impartial ear if you'd like to Fmail or arrange a time for a chat. mr d - does your eldest have a Specialist Mentor at uni? If not and he hasn't made himself known to the wellbeing team/applied for DSA it's worth doing. One to one support at the beginning of term - and beyond - is usually available. |

Slowly getting there LMH. They are aware of him, but we cannot talk to them to help organise things. We have spoken to a couple of his tutors, as he suggested it to them, and he seems to heading in the right direction. It is still very early days. |

mr d - if he'll give consent then student services/wellbeing/whatever they are called where he is can talk to you. If he hasn't applied for DSA I would strongly encourage him to do so.

Mr D there is no one at my club for me to talk to! I’ve stopped going to meetings because I’m the odd one out! (Oh and I prefer early mornings) but it doesn’t help to feel friendless in such a big club! I do talk to a lady in Facebook! Thanks for the offer Little Miss Happy! I actually think I’ve managed to get a lot of it out of my system just by going out riding my motorbike yesterday! It sounds daft but I’ve had a couple of difficult lessons on the 650 and a terrible session at the test centre and there’s been this voice in my head telling me to give it up because I’m wasting money and I’ll never pass the mod 1. It’s an uphill struggle but I’m going to keep at it! |

jelly - the offer is open ended. If you want to pass your mod 1 then just keep going until you do. That isn't a waste of money.

Jelly there is a Motorcycles thread, not hugely active, but it has plenty of helpful and active fetchies on it. fetcheveryone.com/forum/motorcycles-60416/12 LMH, his tutor is helping us with student services now, hope that will get him some extra support. |

mr d - the funding will come through DSA, support is likely to be limited otherwise.

Thanks Mr D! I have visited there before but they are all ‘proper’ bikers and I’m just an emotionally sensitive autistic learner!
