That’s unfortunate macca. Are you using a chest strap? I don’t trust the optical hrm.

in the interests of full disclosure I had an ablation in mid'16 I was fine for 5 1/2 years until Dec'21 when my heart tripped out (into AF) but back in again within a few days - I hoped this was a "one off" and buried my head in sand in May'22 it tripped out for good I had another ablation in Sep'22... which held for 5 1/2 weeks til Nov'22 I am now scheduled for a "Re-Do" ablation on 30th March... |

Mum (who had a heart valve replaced 14 years ago) was told in Dec she has AF then had an ECG and was told she was fine (or at least that's what she told me) I suspect given the age of the valve (the life expectancy at the time was 15-18 yrs) that there is something there but she isn't admitting to it or hearing the issues TBH |

Can someone explain in lay terms a low HRV is bad? I'd have expected a low one to be good and a high one bad, but I understand it to be the opposite.

I’ve read it somewhere, but can’t remember the source.
