Hi I havent posted for a while. I went back into AF on xmas eve, and today was with the cardiac consultant who has put me down for a catheterial ablation at the Royal Berks Hospital Reading. Hopefully will get it done in 2 to 3 months. For the moment though Im just trying to keep my mileage up ready for the day I'm firing on all cylinders.

Hello my AF-friends. I fortunatley have barely had an attacksince September. I managed a half in october when I could feel it trying to break through, but otherwise I've been pretty free of it. I even did big hil efforts last night and it was okay.
Good luck Macca - let us know how it goes.

My last AF was November, and after some research I decided to keep off the caffine & red wine. Since stopping the caffine and red wine, I have not had any AF's. My training has been good, with no problems, I'm now looking forward to the Lakeland Trails.

I'd definitely cut the caffeine - I really notice it if I have it.
I wonder if exflyboy has had the catheter ablation yet?

DBG - if you want to come off caffiene, cut back slowly, rather than stopping in one go. Maybe alternate caffeine and decaff for a while, then cut back further. Headaches are a recognised side-effect of cutting back too quickly.
Hamish84 - Gutted for exflyboy. Send regards
