It's not *really* a trail race is it? Isn't it mostly canal? How do people's road 10k times differ? Is it flat?
Dunno why I'm doing it really :-\

The section of canal that you run along for this 10k is approximately 15k. FACT.

Over the razor sharp rocks that they have used to make the towpath.

I'd add a minimum of 2 minutes to a flat 10k time of 40mins. If you know what I mean.

It starts up a road (hill), goes down through woods (swallow flies) goes onto the canal for 20 miles, out on to the road for about 11 seconds, round a field, where they tease you with the finish line but make you run away from it.
I am well away form my PB on it usually, I think.

So it is *slight* tougher than a road 10k? *brightens up a bit*

360 is exactly right. There's a hill (on road) approx between 2 and 3K and then a long descent where you can make the time up, but then a bit of footpath before the canal. Once you get to the canal you don't care how it compares to a road 10K as you just want it to end.

And yet you don't like the race Pudds. Can't understand it.
