I've done this race 5 times out of the 7 times it has been run and love it. Every other time has been a hot, sunny evening though, and it's now not looking likely to continue that sequence.
Anyone else going?

I'm not this year. It is usually a bit warm, isn't it? The first time I did it, I nearly threw myself in the canal. I figured I'd either drown or get a drink and I didn't care which.
Hope you have a good run

Thanks Puddington. Used to like it when you got a bottle of beer at the end for instant rehydration. My legs are pretty heavy at the moment so may just collapse into the canal anyway.

They were good socks. I am missing it this year as I must go to work and do shit for money.

My children have a number of ABC related embarassments to take to school including a duffle bag and a big blue water bottle. Missed the socks last year. Will let you know what tonight's random goods are.

Ah yes, the blue water bottle. The one that feels like it is made from real quality materials

My blue water bottle went straight to Oxfam. I could taste the plastic just looking at it!

My son drinks out of that bottle every day and it hasn't done him any harm (yet, that I can see)
