Is it good? Need something a bit faster-paced and less strategic for my young lass to enjoy.

Yes - although our youngest (aged 11) finds it quite frustrating. You place 5 movement cards in front of you (things like move forward 1 or 2, turn clockwise 90 deg, go back one space), and then play these cards in order. The problem is that you may miscalculate where you thought you'd be and end up falling off the board, or ending up on a conveyor belt, or being shot by a laser. You can also be pushed by other players. She had a bit of a melt down this afternoon... But it is a good game. There are a number of different boards with different levels of complexity.

First game of Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries this morning. (Must remember to take photos next time!). It's a really nice 2/3-player game with tunnels and ferries, so just a bit of variety, and of course lots of new geography to master.

Much more compact - I scored about ten destination cards from short routes around Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen. There’s one 9-space stretch of track in the north which earns a whopping 27 points (and my daughter scored it on her final turn!). It’s designed specifically for two or three players, so it’s quite a tight game. If you’ve ever played Switzerland, that’s probably the map it’s closest to in nature.
I really enjoyed it, more than I do Europe.

We nearly got that out this morning, but opted for old favourite Alhambra instead!
