geordiegirl... not out of order at all, after all it is plain good manners to say thank you, and if you are going to say thank you why not say what it was as well, it's not like we can only post a certain amount of characters (like on Twitter).

Being an elf this year really opened my eyes to how much work goes on behind the scenes, and how caught up us elves get in making sure everyone is happy.
I won't be happy until PLK and Susisue28 get their presents... so I got all excited when I saw that there had been a flurry of activity in here, but not for the anticipated reason sadly.

Hopefully, I'll get the job again next year, and if I do then I have a few ideas about how the process can be improved ;)

If you haven't heard anything from the person you bought for, send your elf a message and we can fmail them and see of they've just forgotten to post on the thread.

Likewise. I had actually hoped that eleven new posts to this thread was the sound of champagne (prosecco, cava, elderflower cordial) corks popping as the final two presents arrived. My fingers remain crossed.

In terms of thanks: yes, I do think it's good for people to pop up and let us know that they are grateful to have received something. However, I'm also not going to judge anyone who hasn't yet done so. They may only have internet access at work, for example, and if their job is anything like mine then they spend almost as long each year not at work as at work. :-)

Good point. I wasn't aiming to have a dig at anyone or stir up bad feeling - I'm just impatient. Anyway it might turn out that my victim has posted, as I was looking at an archived copy of the spreadsheet (no idea how, I've never attempted to save it or anything).

I posted on here on Christmas Day but I can't update the spreadsheet until at least Monday so if my santa's one of the people feeling unloved and unappreciated, thank you again for the lovely bracelet..
