cross post sheri! I think we should do it by numbers of people so it is easier for the timekeepers. If everyone puts in a predicted time we can work it out :-)

All, I had a wee offline discussion with duck a few weeks back and for timekeeping purposes, it might be better to actually run each set as mixed groups ie a range of finish times. Then we dont have everyone clambering for finish space, all stopwatches clicking at same time, the fast folk have a good clear run at the line and the slower ones have a better chance for improvements if racing with faster folk? Since its a time trial and not a 'race' per se, would it be better to have less congestion by having both fast and slow in each group? Just another perspective....

Surely as long as we split them evenly (ish) there will be enough timers to have one allocated to each runner. I know myself if you put me with faster folk I'd end up killing myself :) Still not sure if I'll be running at all. Physio tomorrow so will see whether I'm allowed to run. Don't know if its wise to do a fastish mile when I'm just fixed anyway. Decisions decisions :)

well its only the first one, we can see how it goes.
I wont be racing. I dont think I can :-) Concentrating on distance and not advanced enough to do speed as well.
I'd be all for a BMI handicap race, so I can start half way round the track.

That sounds like a good idea Nywanda. I don't mind either way. I get the feeling I might be last in the fast mile! I think I may have been a bit optimistic with my predicted time!

HP - Hope the physio fixes you.

Ta Mrs S. I don't mind which way we deal with it. I'm sure it'll come together on the day :)
