Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's a film franchise that isn't 100% internally consistent. Quelle surprise!

We don’t talk about the midichlorians, Fozzy.

Can you explain domain why all the planets Kirk visited were really similar to the sets of films the studio had recently made?😉

Yes. In fact it was often the same precise set. Including the obviously polystyrene boulders.

More baffling is the fact that there were several parallel earths in travelling range of the Enterprise.

Roman Empire, Nazis and Chicago Gangsters were apparently model civilisations that were chosen.

And only one of those was parallel evolution apparently.

That was the Roman Empire wasn't it? Everything else was due to corruption by Starfleet renegades, despite the fact that the Kilingons Vulcans and Romulans had been starfaring races for centuries before humanity got onboard and didn't have a Prime Directive.

See none of either backstories makes sense, but they're both great entertainment, right?

Nah, ST is entirely plausible.

Doesn't require Magic to make it work like Luke 'Harry Potter' Skywalker.

Except for the The Magicks of Megas-Tu ( memory-alpha.fandom.com ) of course.

The Force is just as scientifically plausible as Warp Drive and Betazed telepathy, from a certain point of view.

Although 892-IV was indeed the example of parallel development ( memory-alpha.fandom.com ), it was still corrupted by interference.

Less explanation was given to why the planet in 'Miri' was identical to Earth in landforms and topography. memory-alpha.fandom.com
