The only one of these I've been anywhere near for Christmas is London. I didn't vote for it.

Not on the list but I’ve been in Oslo at Christmas. It’s sodding cold.
I spent New Year in Helsinki once. ‘Sodding cold’ doesn’t come close.

We should have a ‘sodding cold’ death match. I think Platform 10 at Stratford (SRA) could do well. And Steve Austin, obviously.

At the side of a rugby pitch at Ashby, one Friday evening a few years back was the coldest I ever remember being. My feet (in walking boots) froze to the ground and my breath froze around the inside edge of my hood.
Mini Nico ran round for 80 minutes in a pair of shorts and never moaned once.

Arse, I’m moving to South(ish) Devon on December 18th. I don’t remember ‘sodding cold’ being included on the particulars.

I’ve skied in Banff, Canada in January. It’s sodding cheap because even Canadians think it’s too sodding cold.
After enduring several days around the -15C mark we had a cold front move in - 34C. They closed the main ski resorts as the metal in the chair lifts would have been extremely brittle and likely to break.
The resort close to town was open. The shop was doing a roaring trade in ‘got anything for Frostbite’. Skiing was nearly impossible as it was too cold for the slight melt you need for skis to slide.
It was sodding cold. Do I win £5?

'We’re not mad about the bauernkrapfen (fried pastries), either' threw me a little until I realised this was written by Americans and they meant 'we're not angry about...' rather than 'we're not keen on...'.
This is a nice easy deathmatch, not had to humbug on anything.
