Morning. Didn’t get much sleep. My mind is full of all the things I need to do before getting on a plane on Christmas Day. We had a last minute invitation to go on holiday with daughters, SIL and grandchildren 😊 |

Columba wrote: Second shingles jab? I was one of the first people to get a shingles jab, as I happened to fall into the narrow age group that was offered it when it first became available. But I've never been offered a second one @Columba - the NHS has a very (unnecessarily?) complicated scheme. We were talking about it at coffee yesterday. If you're 65, you get the vaccine which requires 2 doses six months apart; if you're 66-70 you have to wait until you're 70; 70+, you get the two-doser, but if you're under 65 but in a 'vulnerable' group you get a single dose vaccination. They don't remind you about needing a second dose. I put a note in my phone diary when we had our first jabs back in June to remind me to book this week's jab. A friend I was talking to yesterday had completely forgotten she needed to book a second dose - luckily she was only about a month past the six months point. ION, I'm feeling back to normal today and will crack on with Christmas tree buying etc. No running today, I need a rest! |
