I see your cold weather and offer
In fact we've just had an email from the race organisers saying that the forecast temperature for Sunday is much higher than normal and so there will be sponges at 3.7km as well as hoses en route. I think the heat could be an issue for the 26.2 and Half folk but hopefully not for we dilettantes in the 9.5k! |

We got a new 4x4 last year with "all year tyres" so I was going to see if we could manage without. The nails are really bad for the roads and air quality. We'll change the tyres on the Toyota which is much smaller and front wheel drive only (also my inexperienced teenager drives it). But I suspect we will have to change the volvo as well :/

Ooh. That looks lovely LD. Soo glad you’re doing a shorter distance. Definitely preferring LD’s location to ITG’s. I am not a snow fan and definitely don’t like driving in it. Hope DiL’s arm is better soon. That looks very painful. 5 sunny miles done this morning. |

2 miles done, in cloudy grey windless nondescript weather. The Pin Lady. I only did the Hereford parkrun once, years ago, and it was indeed on the racecourse. I hated it. Uneven underfoot because of being constantly churned up by the horses, no shelter from whatever the weather was doing (it was very hot when I did it. But would have been just as unpleasant if wet and/or windy) , no variety as would have been provided by trees, bushes, corners, undulations etc. |

The Pin Lady
Hereford Park run is definitely not my favourite even though it's not too far away. Did Mallard's Pike on the Forest of Dean a couple of weeks ago. Can highly recommend it. It's a one lap course and although is is uphill for the first half, it's quite a fast course. The cafe at the end did a great bacon butty as well.
