The Cheviots are always boggy, but there was enough snow to cover the paths so I had a lovely russian roulette of am I going to step through the snow onto path, or will the crust break and plunge me into knee-deep icy bog? Then it started to snow heavily. Then hail. Then hail harder. And then the lightning started...right in front of me. That was the moment I decided it was sensible to bail. The sun's out now........... Anyway, just as well I bailed as oldest boy child phoned wanting picked up from school as some kid accidentally kicked a football into his shoulder...the one he broke 2 weeks ago. Having stopped feeling the bones move, he can now feel them moving again so has clearly broken the callus, poor boy. I'm going to give him painkillers then abandon him for a bath to try to defrost my feet.

ITG 🇮🇸 May 2021 6:30pm, 6 May 2021 12,521 posts	0 ITG 🇮🇸 Made DS nearly 16 take me to the gym. He was too embarassed to show me how to use the equipment but I quietly deadlifted more than my body weight (I am quite small so it is not a lot!)
