Taking it easy today after a long one yesterday - 30 min of yoga and now sitting with my cuppa wondering how to spend the rest of the day for which I have no plans. It is lovely.

I'm thinking quite seriously about the 5k swim challenge programme and wondering about making a threat or a "race/event" for it on fetch. But is there one already?

The pool training starts in May but I will need to take a week of at the end of May (marathon week). It would be nice to have a few of us all aiming to take the 5k roughly the same time - although mine will of course be in a pool. I know there are loads of you who can already swim 5k but I suspect there are others like me who have got out of the swim training habit and need a little motivation. It's also good cross-training with running or cycling and good for the injured amongst us who need something no-impact.

6 miles done today. Ran along beach. Absolutely brutal wind. Had to stop a few times to catch breath. Hated that part!

Glad you’re feeling a bit better SW and are up & about.

Spent the morning marshalling at a local marathon/half. Thankfully it didn’t rain and I had a nice spot in the sun but it was still flipping cold.
