Morning 700ers Shin a bit tight I think I’m only going to manage one bootcamp and no intervals for second week grr. Child off school and we are an emotional mess so think I’ll just chalk this week up to life and start again next week |

uff, Dipps, be good to yourself and each other. Just getting through the day in one piece is enough sometimes.

My wonderful plumber came with his son and they changed the leaky pipe (immediate problem solved). He also scoped the rest of the pipes and it is not as bad is it might have been. Some have been changed and others are under skirting board type things rather than buried behind walls or under tiles so easy to replace. The kitchen could be a problem as we might have to take out a lot of old cupboards to get to the pipes; at which point, I would like to replace all the kitchen units (which I have wanted to replace for ages but OH thinks they are "fine"). However, the plumber also spotted that a big section of plasterboard had warped which is probaby from some leak. I've called the insurance on that one as it is "damage" rather than wear and tear. We'll have to break the plasterboard down to find out what is going on and hope the stone wall (a supporting wall) is ok. It looks fine from the other side, so fingers crossed. Plasterboard can't be that expensive, right? And the room needs a paint job anyway. Cleaning the draining pipes is the more unpredictable job as we don't know where the blockage is and we will almost certainly have to break up the bathroom tiles upstairs and replace them. The question is how much of the bathrooms then need replacing. Expensive and inconvenient spring ahead but I'd rather just get the whole lot sorted over an uncomfortable few months and live in peace. Until the next big job... (still trying to find out if we can build a garage). |

Keep on keeping on Dipps. A few miles in the rain, wind and hailstones this morning. Headed for home when the hail actually started to hurt! Don't you just love this running lark...... |

A good lightener, Seren. ITG, that sounds expensive and exhausting. Still DOMSy. Hoping for a run tomorrow, but this will be subject to Weather. Not going out in high winds with prospect of hail and bits of flying tree. |
