McG I have lost two kilos since Friday through not snacking which is a bit sobering. The difficulty in eating anything with any crunch or chew requirement means a lot of porridge, soup, baked potato and hummus. I tried a breadstick, front teeth only, but it took about ten minutes. I think there is a marathon plan which has you avoid carbs and then carb load like mad so I’m hoping this turns out a London bonus

Morning all!!

7-8 miler on the schedule today but crappy night sleep with horrific nightmares has left me less than enthused. Still, looks like it is going to be another lovely day, so I'm sure I'll rally.

[Feeling your dental pain, Seren, McG. After 1st surgery, no exercise, bar walking, for a week; after 2nd session, 4 days' break from running & gym. Got healing caps [5] in place now. Settled down after 10 days.]

4 miles done, 4 mins run, 1 min walk except for the 4th mile which was all run, no walk.

Never have I been so glad to get another 12 months all-clear from the dentist last week - it all sounds too unpleasant for words, you poor things :-(

I ground out a 10 miler this morning but it was pretty painful - my knees played up big time :-( One good thing though, running through Pittville Park I came upon an old colleague so I didnt stop my watch but strolled at a very leisurely pace through the park with him. Nice to see him after a long gap.

Well done for getting the runs done Columba and LD.
I sat in my running kit all day feeling more and more grumpy and pressured about going for a run and finally threw in the towel a few minutes ago and changed out of my kit - apologies to the day traders! :-O

Well done on all the runs and I hate the dentist so feel for anyone having treatment.

Am knackered here, have spent the day lifting all the carpets, underlay and poxy tiles underneath from all the house apart from the bedrooms today.

Will be glad when this is all over.

In other news, we are going g to be grandparents again in March
