As with Linds' pleasing not-hated run, I've been for a 10 mile bike ride which I also did not hate. This is also Progress :-)

*Full disclosure: I took my FX3 hybrid bike rather than my Silque road bike. It's quite windy and the roads are too potholey, was my reasoning. This bike choice may well be why I didn't hate it.

I’ve run. Had to get Mrs D to come and collect me though as I got to nearly 6 miles and was too far from home and the wrong side of a big hill when I needed to be home. Got some new conquercise zones though :-)

One of the ladies in his department is an old school friend of mine, we have a lot of good banter and I know most of the people he works with very well as he has worked there a long time 😁

I didn’t end up getting shoes today. Apparently they are having issues with deliveries of Brooks shoes at the moment. Frustrating but I’ve put my name on the list and they give me a call when the stock arrives.

Nearly 3 miles with the running club's gentle "walk to run" group. Hadn't run for a week because of twinges in left heel which felt suspiciously like pf; but haven't had any such twinges for a couple of days, so thought I'd give it a try. Logged the new run, and behold - a new badge, once round the moon.

ITG, there are two ways of counting in Welsh, a modern way which is logical and easy to do arithmetic with, and an older way which includes all sorts of oddities. For example, 1 - 10 is straightforward, followed by one-on-ten, two-on-ten etc. up to 14; 15 has its own name, followed by one-on-fifteen, two-on-fifteen, two-nines, four-on-fifteen; then 20 has its own name. Further up the scale there are more oddities, rather similar to those in French; there's no seventy, you go from sixty-nine to sixty-ten, sixty-eleven etc. There's no eighty, it's four-twenties.
