Oh dear I was too chicken to swim I am not sure if I’ll be brave enough later. I managed a bit of breaststroke and water was actually cold but fine it just felt so slimy underfoot and I was too chicken to put my face under, not helped by knowing it quickly gets too deep to stand up in. I looked at the ducks bobbing about and I panicked

Understandable Dipps, I feel like that too

Just had xray results and confirmed my pain is due to arthritis in both big toes and both hands - bit gutted to be honest

Sorry Moo. It is good to know as you won’t muck about treating the wrong thing. I think there are ways to manage pain and still get out there in fact I think there is some research that suggests you are better to keep active

Rotten luck Mandy but here's hoping you get some positive advice later.

Bit of a 'minor disaster' here ;-) I can't find my Garmin charging cable anywhere which suggests I've left it in Sidmouth and we won't be there again for a fortnight. I've ordered a new one on Amazon which should arrive tomorrow but as there was hardly any battery left I only ran 5 miles instead of the 10 I'd planned. And then despite having turned my Garmin off last night, for some reason it thought I's started my run at 10:05pm last night so on strava my 'elapsed time' is ludicrous, and I've had to edit the date and time on here too. Technology, eh?
