Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Morning all!

Well done, LG - whichever way you calculate it! ;)
Hope that pesky throat improves soon, Fleecy.

Looking forward to a walk and a run-walk later when I can get away from this desk.

Well done LG! :)

I'd quite like someone to run with for a change, it might stop me from walking so much. Anyway, another 5-ish done.

Morning! Keep away from the crosspatch threads NSC, it's much nicer here :-) Congratulations LG! :-)

AR, I think you've hit my nail on the head. Went out for a run this morning, thinking it was time I had a go at the club 3k WAVA challenge. But:
1. I faffed about indoors until the local pavements were busy with kids going to school (I know!)

2. Because I'd had to take evading action for them I binned the WAVA challenge and I thought I'd just do my 5k loop.

3. Then that got too hard so I took my cop-out route off road with stiles and gates which meant, of course, that I walked.
I am no longer capable of running a non-stop mile, no matter how slowly :-( In my defence, I think the 8 miles on Wednesday are still in my legs, and not in a good way.

I know what you mean. I was thinking about doing the virtual Summer League, but the first race is 10k and I cannot see myself pushing myself for 10k on the streets full of people when I don't like where I'm running and I'm on my own. So I either don't do it, or I post a rubbish easy run time.

This may sound like a bizarre idea, but I might go for a run today
