I'm just glad a grandchild is on its way this year ;-)

I bunked off the strengthening class this morning. My foot had the all-too-familiar bruised sole feeling by the time the dog and I got back from our five miles over the hill, and I know this sounds daft but I was desperate to get the carpets hoovered and the hall and kitchen floors washed :-) So I did that instead, and this afternoon I spent a very hard hour digging out ground elder roots from a patch of about 1sq m so I could plant some new plants. I reckon that was enough hard exercise for today.

Evening all,

Got a run in too. That’s the hardest I’ve found couch to 5km. The heat I don’t think helped, it was warmer than I imagined!

Had an inset day instead off homeschooling today. Must admit it was wonderful 😂

Grand child No1 is now 3 months, and grandchild No 2 is due Beginning of July, DS3 and GF havent seen each other for 6 weeks now, and Mrs P had her bits taken out, so should not be any more children here.

In running news did a hill session this evening, been a while, but I managed to run home afterwards, so perhaps I should have tried harder ;-)

I shall admire your infants from a-very-far.

Millsey, you did it, that's the main thing! Enjoy the success of another session ticked off. Honestly, once you get up to 5k it becomes a pleasure.

5.6 miles after wfh today. Lovely weather and pleasant off road route. Bruised rib is okay now so back to running every other day - it does help my mental state :)
Had two phone calls with work colleagues today - both purely work related, but made a change from only interacting with immediate family (great as they are - he hastens to add ;) )

Well done Millsey. :) Make sure that you keep running slow enough.

The first thing I said when we went into lockdown was that I thought there might be a baby boom in 9 months time. Not in our family though (in Austria) as nephew's baby no.2 is due in July and they don't want to know what it is until it arrives. :)

Lovely evening run. None about. Foot not perfect but it appreciated a stop half way and I delivered the plan: run when you like, stop when you like, imagine it’s the old days when you ran because it’s easier than walking :-)
