I taught my kids to forge my signature in reading records when they were 5. Nowadays if there’s a paper note from school about a trip or something ds2 fills it in, forges my signature, texts me a photo and hands it in. Parents should delegate as much admin as possible, god knows there is too much of it :)

I’ve only run today and 2 days ago recently but felt pretty strong, all this indoor exercise must be doing something! Rebound teacher has started getting us to use weights for even more pain. I may be as fit as I’ve ever been :) Permanent DOMs though

That's interesting Fleecy, for our strength and core class we now have to wear a rucksack with weights in for a lot of it. I think that's why I was particularly tired after Tuesday's session!

A rucksack with weights is random! Wouldn’t work for most of the core stuff I do :) We have used weighted gloves in rebound classes in the past.

Don't know if I'll run today. Wasted several hours working on my dissertation only to realise it was completely incorrect and I had misunderstood something fundamental. I'm tired, bored, stressed and it's raining.

Really hating only having the opportunity to run 4 times a week, and being too tired to do so on at least one of them.

If I want to try to get 100 miles each month this year, I need to do 8.9 today. However, I think I'm abandoning that target. Without races or going places my usual autumn mileage slump will be worse. Maybe I'll try again next year. I've never done it!

2 mile run, to round off the month. Wasn't looking forward to it, wasn't enjoying it (very windy, rather wet) until about half-way through, then suddenly started liking it in a masochistic kind of way. The return half was mostly downhill, which may have had something to do with it.

Returned for a Zoom (initially set up, then cancelled, then reinstated) with 21-month old grandson. This involved a lot of singing on my part, for preference songs with sneezes in them, which he thinks are very funny.

We used it (worn on our fronts) for squats and step ups and something else I've blanked out of my mind. I wasn't convinced tbh.

Go easy, Carp. 100 miles a month is a lot, and everyone's targets for everything are going out of the window at present.

Well I’m sure it makes it harder Latterly. Might be easier than holding weights too

Carp - I reckon you've probably learnt a huge amount from figuring out you misunderstood something. It's funny how the brain learns, but your depth of knowledge has probably increased.

Also Carp - I realised this morning that I'm on 99 for the month. I decided the tyranny of numbers was not going to make me go out when my next scheduled run isn't until tmrw. So I stay on 99.

I was going to say the same as Teebee, Carp. It might feel like wasted for now but it probably deepened your knowledge in relevant ways.
