Speed work day today but I’m really not in the mood so I think I’ll head off to do a few short lunchtime loops of One Tree Hill (the South East London version). This will involve walking as well as running.

My dog walk lasted for two hours today, because I bumped into (well, not literally obvs) a former colleague I haven't seen for nearly 10 years, and, separately, two running friends. The dog just lay down in the sun while she waited for me to move on

5 mile run done for the first run of the local inter-club ‘lockdown league’. Managed a good time for me, despite it being quite warm and having to walk up a couple of hills.

Lovely LD, well, you had nothing to rush home for, did you? I quite like bumping (not literally at the moment) into people you know whilst out and about and stopping for a chat. When you live on your own it could be the only human contact you have in a day. |

I walked around post office trip. This caused me some angst as to do so means sacrificing a run and/or a walk with c9 and mrS tonight. But it’s out the way now and I can always run at midnight if I’m desperate

Back from 2 miles of run/walking. Felt awful and had zero energy, and events since my return would suggest I've picked up a stomach bug. It was very warm out but I wasn't in the sun long enough for it to have been the cause. I'm going to sit very quietly this afternoon. If I continue to feel awful I'll take the laptop up to the bedroom which is beside the bathroom. |

I can confirm it's hot - we were planning a short, steady 5 miles, and decided against water. A mistake. Anyway, we went south again, via the village shop to post a card, and via different woods. Cutting through more bluebells, der prints (but no actual sighting) and a few trunks to practise. Then we came to the road - this is as busy as it gets, with more bluebells, before reaching the local 'Grand National' stretch - see fetcheveryone.com/blog/43889 if interested. The 'different' woods The road And at great risk, a new 'white' flower. I thought it was going to be a white version of the yellow archangel from last week, but it doesn't have nettle like leaves. Lots of bees all over it. |
