Morning folks. Run done in the morning and mostly not getting rained on. Pleased with the pace as well :-)
Linds, I came back from almost no running at all for a month to do Run the Sum as a way of getting back into it. I found it good for something to focus on, to start off gently and gradually build and a way of making sure I got out of the house and away from work and family. I also was not afraid of just having a couple of walk breaks in a run, as well as generally taking it easy.

Now I'm still running every day but every other day is a recovery run with the excuse of getting out of the house and the rest are whatever I feel might be good for training to generally get fitter.

Thanks for all your considered advice. I'd do it in km. It's too much in miles.

@Badger, did you mean you did the distance in km but measured in miles? I would probably do that.

Yes, I mostly work in miles because I have a good sense for what paces in miles/min mean (and for 5k and 10k I know what my target is and dividing that by 5 or 10 even I can do in my head, so put my watch into km for those).
So I worked out the km for each day, converted to miles and rounded up. Have a spreadsheet with that if you want it?

I wondered about whether it’s supposed to be in miles or km as well. Am thinking about it.

Morning gonks. Off to the Monsal Trail with GF to run the 10k route in a bit. Last day off before going back to work tomorrow.

The shop that asked me if I'm interested in selling with them took every item I took along and are going to order some more. They only take 20% from sales which is less than other shops.

Sorry, it's 108.4 in January, I did it in a 30 day month.
It would be 172 miles in January done in miles. I'd call that a hard month, before this year the most I'd ever done in a month was 170 & that was peak month in marathon training before running a PB.

With run the sum, do you just need to do 1 mile (or KM) on the first of the month? I get the maths after the 10th...

Officially Run the Sum is kilometres, but a few fools do it in miles. When I did it I was trying a load of mental arithmetic multiplying the miles I ran by 1.6 and adding a couple of hundred metres for good measure. It was a bit distracting.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
