Well done to everyone who hit (or surpassed) their target this year. I won't, but I'm not beating myself up about it. I did get out for my first training session today, though. The Schedule doesn't officially start until Monday but I thought I'd better get cracking. It was OK, actually. And I ordered some new shoes yesterday |

Yay for new shoes, MsMc. It was soggy, slushy and drizzly here so I thought my run would be cold and bleak but I actually quite enjoyed it. I ran a slow half, thinking that it would be good training for the summer trail run - uneven, slippy, wet, unpredictable, etc. - and about hoovering some WSW. It was neither fast nor pretty and my right thigh is none too haply but I am almost ready to commit to my triple. I'm thinking of having "Rögnvaldsdóttir" emblazoned on my fetch vest (my dad was Ronald) but it's an awful lot of letters to iron on. Local sports shop might do it though as they do the footie strips. |

Oh dear. Someone is selling crosscountry skis and shoes in my size. I have never tried it but everyone says I should.... |

That would be a lovely tribute ITG. Never tried any kind of skiing. I think I am too clumsy.

Well done PH and NDW and a cheer for those close to targets. Just hit 850 today at pr which is more than expected for this year. Will add 10 @ Gutbuster tomorrow and a little more in the last couple of days, but that's plenty. Jealous of those going away on hols, but actually quite enjoying loafing at home doing not much now. Lot of planning for next year tho' |

Linds, I forgot all about park run this morning. I didn’t wake up until nearly 9, in any case.

Ha! just discovered I've logged a 13M which was DD2 wearing my Garmin, so have had to delete. So should hit 850 properly with a cheeky 4-5M on NYE

PH 700 Great pic too. Corrah, JFDI, I know you can. Fleecy, don't break yourself but I'm sure you'll manage it. |

Let it snow Daisy
loadsa for Pothunter, Dave if I haven't already ed him, and everyone else achieving what they are happy with on this thread. I'm hoping to join a gang of clubmates on a really slow but chatty five miles tomorrow. Trouble is, they're setting off at 9am, I will have to cycle to the meeting point *and* I'm dog-walker-in-chief tomorrow as OH has a cyclo-cross race. It would be fine on a light summer morning but as it's barely light at 8am it's going to be a bit of a push. If I don't meet up with them I'll do 5 on my own later, but increasingly I find a bit of company helps the miles along. |
