Paula posted on FB that she dropped at 20 miles, not ill or injured but 'not her day.' Not really my news to post either, but wanted to reassure the good citizens of the 700 thread.

Thanks Badger, it's good to know she hasn't hurt herself or anything.

Well done on your 20 miles this morning LG. And nice to see you at HH parkrun. Hope your ok.

Glad Paula is ok. Sensible decision.

Parkrun and first RPM class in a while for me today. Hilly but scenic 10k tomorrow.

Hi all:-)
I really wasn’t feeling the love today so pulled out at 21 where I could cadge a lift from .B. and Bint. I couldn’t face another 30 in the cold wind when I wasn’t having fun - that’s why I run, to have fun, so what’s the point otherwise? Seemed more sensible to go for lunch and then support at the finish than batter myself for nothing (pretty sure I would have missed the final cutoff).

I live to run another day :-)

Hugs Paula but sounds like you and the right decision.

I am home and starving but am going out for a meal so too late to eat any decent now so a bit of chocolate will suffice. Had to shower at my friend's house as I had a retirement thing this afternoon but was too late for lunch with them and the pub we ended up in didn't do food.

Foot was quite bad so praying this steroid on Tuesday helps as otherwise the marathon won't be pretty :-(

Well done LG, take care, I have everything crossed for you, & your training is done.

Well run Paula, & good decision, survive to run much sooner than if broken. Actually, it sounds a lovely way to spend the day :-) though you may not see it like that.

bunting for Paula, - what the others said. 21 miles is still a lot!
Hope PP still going strong.

Despite my Advanced Age, I know how to transfer pictures from the gallery to one of the threads. What I don't know how to do (never tried, - may be perfectly simple) is transfer photos from my phone to the gallery. All my gallery photos were uploaded from my laptop.

Suppose I could email a photo to myself, then I'd have it on my laptop. But there's probably a more direct way.

Another little 36-minute run done. Still have a heart! That may change over the next few days, as tomorrow is a rest day (or gardening - but not running), Monday swimming, Tuesday "vibe cycle", so no more running before Wednesday.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
