I haven't got a chance of catching up properly as I have skim read the past three-bazillion posts but thanks Um for the car hire insurance tips. I am also going to start the appleapple shaking for LG's marathon training :-). Hugs are also on offer for anyone in need, I have lost track of the ill, injured and generally pissed off but I hope things improve for you all. :-).

Ferret - don't know if I'm brave or stupid only time will tell.
LD, I have 2 good running chums who are joining me and taking me over the finish line or I would never do it..
Hoping the fact I have joined a gym and mixing my training runs will help with the time, distance and niggles.

LG if i can do a marathon anyone can. As long as you put in the training you will smash it. And no matter what you will get a PB ๐Ÿ˜

LD, flat marathons are harder IMO. Hilly ones are good cos you can walk up all the hills guilt free and then go wheeeeeeeeee down the hill :-)

LG, Stirling and surroundings is so beautiful! I am very envious. My aim is to manage a 10k by the yearend and I'm nit even sure that will happen. I cannot even do 3 yet w/o walk break.

Definitely brave & it sounds fun with friends.

If I did one it would be Edinburgh or LochNess & now off to google Stirling or am I wrong in thinking theyโ€™re not too mountainous

About This Thread

Maintained by Mandymoo
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
