Well done everyone, clearly all starting as we mean to go on :-)

I just did 3 miles, but it's enough for day 1. Then brunch, (full English, a rare treat :-)) and a long blustery walk along the beach with the dog. Great start to the year.

International Troublemaking Grouch
No running for me today but I did my 5 minute youtube "butt and thigh" routine (fitness blender if you are wondering), lots of back stretchy things and walked to the shop and back with troublemaking baby.

It has now warmed up enough for some heavy snowfall.

Happy New Year. :-)

Double parkrun to kick off this year's mileage.

A very hilly Gedling in 27:03 with a friend, then a very muddy Colwick in 24:27 where I gave it a bit of welly and stomped through all the puddles, hellrunner style!

I love Fitness Blender ITG - just rediscovered them recently when the ice put me off running.

Happy New Year everyone!
I've done nothing today other than housework. The lurgy I've been keeping at bay for the last few days seems to be fighting back so I've stayed indoors. Going to help my friend put 3 horses to bed for the night soon though - mucking out is definitely exercise ;)
First run of the year will be on Friday afternoon.
Well done to all you double-parkrunners and everyone else who's clocked up some miles today.

Happy new year everyone 😃
Also a very nice double parkrun to start 2018 both had record attendances I think.
I met briefly another 700er although I didn't recognise him without his banana

Nice to meet you Som.

Hello and happy new year everyone :-)
I stopped posting because I wasn't running, but I've started the year with a parkrun double, so I guess I am running again, albeit slowly. I have set my target for the year to 700, bring on 2018. :-)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
