ITG, as someone who has to have the Lord's prayer (in English) written out when praying in church because I always miss a few lines, I feel your pain. I did laugh though. I would love to know what the lunchtime conversations were like!

Can I be rude and ask why your first two languages are? Your posts have you all over the place and I get confused. My best guess (sorry if I'm way off track...) is that you are a Scot, married to an Italian and (mostly)living in Iceland? Am I even remotely close?

You got it Heinzster.
In order of fluency: English, Italian then Icelandic.
I can read French reasonably well and order a sandwich and I can sort of read Danish, Norwegian and Swedish (based on Icelandic) and guess at Portugese and Spanish (based on Italian).

Thanks, ITG. I have a passing fluency in English 😂. I have been known to use an occasional Klingon swearword though (yes, I'm a nerd)

Morning :-)

Another day of assignment wrestling and job applications.
There will also be a short run, a short swim, and some strength and stretch work.

Have a lovely day, 700-ers

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
