Mornage.
Grim here this morning - not actually raining but the air is wet. I have to do errands, can't decide if I ought to walk then get the bus home once done or cycle.

Ha, Dipps - if I'd seen that this morning I'd have said absolutely fine - now, however, I have DOMS - everywhere!

Been swimming.
Also been to visit a friend in hospital (the small local hospital); she fell and broke her hip. She is perfectly lucid but very unhappy indeed about being in hospital (she is aged 88 or 89, so her lucidity is worth mentioning).

Oh no, poor lady I hope they're hot on rehab there so she doesn't lose any mobility.
Well done FML!

Good thought, Carp. She feels she's being totally neglected (ring for a nurse to take you to the loo, nobody comes for an hour... By which time it's too late). I'll ask if she's seeing a physio.

Oh no Columba that's the worst possible care for someone in her position (well, anyone really, but hopefully you know what I mean.) Can she get home asap with some family assistance? The longer she's immobile the worse the outcome will be. My MiL was made to start rehabbing remarkably quickly, and she made a very good recovery (she was mid 80s.)
My performance was disappointing at track tonight. I know I can run 50s and 100s faster than I was doing tonight but somehow that extra gear just wasn't there. Possibly because, as I said earlier today, I've taken my foot off the gas too much recently in mileage terms.
