Morning 😃
I have not had a gout attack like the one I've just had for ages its gone now so my running shoes are at the ready,
My son wants a lift to southwell this afternoon so I might just have my kit in the car.

That's good MB.

RH, I know exactly what you mean. I also find that if I have 10 planned but my head isn't in it, I then don't go out at all.
But two is better than zero, so go out for two and see how you go. If it's OK, aim for 5 then reassess. You can always do 5 now, 5 later.

I swam :-)

I know time might be an issue, RH, but Carps' idea of 2 x 5 mile runs in one day is a good one as a starter. I used to have to split a lot of my longer runs when I was working (and I expect to do similar once I get another job!!!)

Yay for swim

I did a wiggly route back from the garage, checking out possible footpaths. What I found was litter, a burnt out car, and fly-tipping in the beautiful countryside :(

Morning :-)
Well swum, pool’s no use if too busy, exercise or enjoyment. I often have a quick look at nearest cove before committing myself - but in there, more swimmers = more fun. Never gets busy.

Hope you got out, ran & enjoyed it RH. I like the two 5 milers plan, also, once you’re out you’ll probably just carry on. Easy for me to say, more time & if I’m going that far it’s sloooow & scenic.
Hope you have a lovely run meadowsboy.

:-) time to do some baking, cheese scones, Victoria sandwich, & tiffin pig

I run :) I did 10.

There were lumpy bits, there were boring bits. I too came home with a fair amount of litter (ice lolly wrappers strewn around the RSPB) I just checked, that was my longest run since June last year !

I almost went for a swim in the river - but thought better of it.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
