ITG - there are settlements in North Greenland? I remember seeing a documentary once called something like "The Village at the End of the World", about a village in Greenland. The people lived by fishing, and there was some doubt as to whether they would be able to continue selling their fish to a large corporation which had hitherto been buying it. And there was a teenage boy whose main preoccupation was the lack of local girls. By the end of the film he had secured a place in a university (or other HE institution) in Iceland, and was going off with high hopes.

Been swimming. There were 5 in the pool, which is adequate space for everyone, but there was a couple who confusingly kept changing lanes, so I had to check up at the end of every few lengths, "where are they now?"

Club handicap race done (the second of four.) Two minutes faster than last month Just goes to show, last month it was very warm but tonight was perfect, a bit of breeze and relatively cool. I'm sure that makes a difference. I paced it really badly though - first two miles too fast, blew up a fair bit in the second two miles. I was trying to catch my friend Sandra whereas I should have just concentrated on my own pacing

ION the swelling on one leg is down to 8x4ish and the second leg looks less like I've grown a second lateral malleolus.
