Then no, don't think so, Fleece.

I was asked yesterday for my "Scottish perspective" and replies I didn't have one. So Icelandic, I guess. I am an expat stereotype: shortbread, kilt and shopping in Scotland.

I had posted my congrats and bunting for this weekends racers but it appears that the internet ate my post.

So, bunting for the awesomeness of 700'ers this weekend bunting

5 miles for me this morning. The weekends resting of the calf seems to have done the trick. I blooming hate pulled muscles.

Interesting article ITG. No delegates from Alaska, nor the Lapland area of Finland/northern Norway?
I can't imagine Greenpeace is telling you to drill baby drill.

Been swimming. Plenty of space in the pool this week.

Went to my strengthening class and we worked largely on arms and shoulders, which is good in one way because mine are in awful condition but also bad, because the woeful state of my arms and shoulders made it tricky and painful.

Oh well, hopefully track won't hurt quite as much later on :-)

Hello! Where is everyone? :-0

I only did the first bit of the track session - the easy warming up bit. I started to feel really strange - nauseous but not sick, which sounds stupid but it's hard to describe. I'm now feeling a bit shivery and will be off to bed very soon.

Just overdone things perhaps, Daisy?

I've had an immensely encouraging session with a physio this evening. Massage, ultrasound and loads of exercises which he is going to email to me as I couldn't possibly remember them all. He's quite sure I'll be able to do parkruns again, indeed I could start running again straight away but only for 5 mins and on the flat.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
