Ah thanks for the reminder Columba there's a patch in the field behind the racecourse where I walk the dog sometimes that was covered in these last year! They turn black very quickly though :-(

I found a patch too, unfortunately Ralph got to them before I did and decided that they were a high point that needed his scent on..... I know where there was another patch last year, just need to get to them before any male dogs do!

You've got to cook them and eat them as soon as you've picked them.

Some grew in my garden for two years, also in next door's garden (and he didn't want them) but none this year.

High stress - managed to enter the Mad Dog 10k - entries opened at 6pm, I was in a queue at 6.03pm and managed to get in at 8.30pm! Suspect it will have sold out before midnight - I nearly gave up, but having done 6 out of 7 I didn't want to go down without a fight!

Evening all.

Have a load of bunting and bananas as I read lots of good things on the last few pages. :-P

I've entered my favourite 10K - Percy Pud, in Sheffield. It's in December.

I've also ran 10.5 miles tonight, pleased with that I walked for 90 minutes or so earlier in the woods with the dudette, the female person and her kids.

Lots of great running today. Well done folks; especially in the horrid weather

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
