Ran 3 miles to the station.

Hill reps last night were very sociable - I made Bint talk to me on the uphills and then I managed a few words on the downs :-)

morning :)

it's not raining (at the moment) time to cook some bacon. brought plenty of running kit - have not felt the slightest bit like using it.

Find plenty of fun in your day if you can folks :)

How is the weather in your living room, Fleece?

I'm up early for a skype meeting which is entirely of my own doing as I thought it would be good to "get it out of the way". Hmmm.... back is sore but I might take the kids out anyway as after today, the forecast is rain for the next 10 days.

Morning all

Drowning in life/work/new kitchen/living in a mess/whatever else at the moment. At least the end is in sight now - new kitchen is delivered tomorrow but being installed on 7th August.

Tonight I WILL escape to running club and attempt to run 6 miles for the first time in yonks!

a frustration releasing 4 miles this morning including my fastest mile away from the track (and only 12 secs slower than that PB).

The Taper Phantom pains are appearing and caused me to miss out on my club handicap 5k last night so was not in the best of moods. Was due to go out for a run this morning no matter what happened but the frustration was to a level that I needed to put some effort into it. Ended up with a 7:37 avg pace which blew the cobwebs away (and quite impressive considering the first mile was an 8:34 ha ha ha)

This is why I love Fetch - just gone through my training log - I knew my running hadn't been great but seriously the last time I ran 6 miles was Feb 2016!!!!! Tonight may hurt......

RA - your run sounds good.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
