Morning :-)

welcome back Ferret

Off to brave the shops shortly :-(

Mrs P already panicking about getting things ready, haven't yet mentioned today's run, or tomorrows bike ride, she is the perfect example of a headless chicken, now that they are older boys and I find it far more amusing than is good for us.

Morning :-)
Barbara's here, which is a shame because there's no other reason I couldn't be running. Except laziness. And the need to buy for for sunday. Actually, maybe I'd rather run in a storm than brave the shops....

Morning :)
*waves to ferret and shakes pom-poms for LG*
I still sound poorly but I feel a bit better in myself after two weeks of illness. Hope the feeling survives a shower and some homeworking

Morning. Did the club track session last night and although it was very short (roughly 2 miles at the most) I worked hard. Then we went to the pub for a drink (ginger beer) and some chicken wings and chips. It was nice.

My mojo is SO lacking at the moment that I'm counting every little run as a major victory. I've registered my interest in the Bank of England cross country on 21 Jan, and have plans to meet with other clubbies for the parkrun double on New Year's Day. I'm doing Brockwell parkrun tomorrow, and then Peckham Rye on Christmas Day.

There: I have plans. Definite plans.

Morning gunks :) Plans are good, Paula :) Welcome back to planet internet ferret. Glad to hear the knee is ok FML. Those poor cats are probably wondering what's happened...
Bit cloudy here but still warm, going for a walk once I've digested my massive breakfast. Then a nice run later, lots of hills :)

Morning!

Only one minor blurt despite a few bevvies. Someone I would have told anyway (one of my closest colleagues) who wondered aloud if x (his leaving do) wasn't safe then who would be next. Er me. Oops.

GC came out for the leaving doo and we both decided we'd had enough beer at a reasonably sensible time so I don't feel too bad this morning!

Did find out that we are doing the half day thing today even though it's not actual Xmas eve, so not long now!

Morning everyone, long time lurker here! Have never achieved the 700 miles but this year I only have 15 miles to go! Also only 14 miles to go on my 1000 mile bike target. Little bit stiff today after my first game of badmington in about 6 years. Last day at work today and will do a longer ride home before it gets dark. Plan to run to the Bicester parkrun, do that and run home, that'll be 7 miles. And I'm really tempted to sign up for the brutal run in Longmoor on new years eve. As it's an 80 mile drive I'd have to make it worth the trip by doing the 2 lap option :-). Have a good christmas everyone.

Did a Christmas lights treasure hunt last night with club, which resulted with coming home with a couple of handfuls of chocolates.

Been out on my bike to clear bugs this morning before the weather comes in. Car has gone to have a new starter motor fitted and I'm now awaiting a plumber to service my boiler. Why wait 'til the day before Christmas?!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
