That's phenomenal, Columba! You are a mile muncher That's disappointing for Leaflet. I hope he gets something else soon. Mince pies in January - you rebel, Som! I bet Tenerife is perfect for running at this time of year, but today has been so still and mild that I nearly didn't wear gloves!

Mrs Hamish
Tried to speed read back a few pages. Got CStar's cat with food poisoning, hope cat recovers well, haggis - no idea, XC to some of you, and anyone else who has done good running 'hurrah' and anyone poorly/injured - sorry
Exflyboy and I did Eton Windsor FUN run series - I did 15k, he did 20k. There was nothing FUN about it. Was really hard work, but was good effort, did reasonably well and bling is luverly! Have tried to eat sensibly ever since - race didn't start until 12.45 as was running late, so started already on lunch time!!! Just about recovered now and shattered.
So brother now thinks we can up next week's long run to 14 miles - all JD's fault

Evening all
Such a shame AL, hope somethings comes along soon. CStar, hope the cat improves quickly, and now the brain has gone dead on everything else!
I ran this morning on legs of lead, but that might have something to do with the 37 mile hilly bike ride yesterday which was followed by a 4 mile hilly dog walk. It is good to be back out there though

You didn't wear gloves GM! I ran in tshirt and capris and was glad of the slight headwind on the way back to cool down!
b@gger AL 🙁 that's a real shame, have you checked in with college! There may be cases where apprenticeships haven't worked out. The apprentice in the kitchen of the restaurant where daughter works is one of only a few who have stuck with their placings since October.
hope the cat recovers quickly Cstar .....and that you haven't been struck down by the same thing!

I hope Leaflet finds something new AL. Good to have the experience and a good reference though. I did 14.7 miles with a latte stop in the middle, loved it Are there any mince pies left?

Love veggie haggis. I think one of the main brands - Mc Sweeny's - sell about 25% of their haggis as vegetarian. Enjoying my running at the moment. Recent 5k PB and a 10k race coming up. Work stress through the roof but always seems manageable after a run!
