GC - they are fabulous photos, thank you so much!!

Glad to see you got Mankini man (top of p6).

It's amazing the different expressions on people exiting the bog - some look really traumatised indeed.

And I absolutely love our finishing pictures.

Really, thank you xx

9 snowy/slushy miles with the Half training group this morning - much more fun than going alone :) Legs ache a bit though - it was a bit like cross-country but we all stayed on our feet throughout!

GC - I can only echo what Paula said. Those photos are awesome! Are you OK for me to share a couple on Facebook (more than happy to credit you or, frankly, pay you - those photos will be even better than the official ones, I reckon :-))

10 miles done. Tired legs today. Still lots to do this afternoon but all I want to do is nap!

Really enjoyed that. I was one of the least dressed runners there and I was plenty warm enough. A long sleeved top, shorts and gloves. Was very pleased with the way it went and how I felt and finished 😄

Those are fantastic pictures - and show me exactly why I don't want to do this race next year or indeed ever ;-) And that's before I've even got to the one of Mankini man (shudders).

Having said that - huge respect to all those who did do it - makes my five miles this morning on a route designed specifically to keep my feet dry look a bit pathetic really :-)

Nice one, Dio :-)

Nothing pathetic about a 5 mile dry route run, Baroness :-)

9 miles for me. Lovely day for it. Longest training run I've done since May! Hopefully double digit long run next Sunday.

Hi Bint, the photos do have licensing on them but you are free to distribute so long as they are not altered, not used for commercial use and that you attribute the photo(s) to me.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
