Lovely parkrun with ds2, nice and slow. I'm determined to make him enjoy running again after too many fast parkruns put him off. So when I couldn't find his barcode I took his brother's instead and we made a plan to get ds1 a PW. Given he hasn't stirred from his computer yet, that seemed fair :) Marvellous sprint finish though with lots of yelling, mostly from me :?

Go Ultrabint! :) 4th lady :)

Pacing at parkrun this morning. Not terribly well, I was 37 seconds over my pace time. My watch read the course long (it isn't) so my average pace was correct. Nobody finished anywhere near me so it probably didn't matter. I then jogged home, and spent 40 minutes on the doorstep waiting for Mr Carp who had the keys.

Oh dear Carp, still it must be hard pacing when your Garmin isn't reading accurately. Might be easier if there were km markets perhaps?

It would just be more stuff for the set up team to do. My friend's watch measured 3.03, mine 3.17 and I've been round the course with a wheel (it's 3.12 in reality iirc).

Trees probably, but my goodness the shade they gave was worth it!

Ouch, AR!
Took youngest one to park this morning with her bike - we've been at it for about 3 weeks now, but finally!!!!!!! She's got it! No more tagalong, my last child can ride a bike :-)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
