Another new one for me recently was a can of Vocation Sweet Temptation 6.6% stout. Will certainly be having that one again. I think our local pub may have had an IPA from Vocation on recently but I'm not sure, I'll enquire next time I visit!

I have discovered that the Black Cat in Weston does cans. Unfortunately they seem to tend to be around the 6% mark which will stop me from getting too into them, but Mosaic seems to be permanent as a gluten-free option (the pub is also very good for vegan options), and tonight's option was delicious.

Cans
21. (can) Arbor Ales Mosaic (4.0%)
22. (can) Shureshot Desperate Dan Appreciation Society (4.7%)

Bottles
41. (bottle) Saltaire Blonde (4.0%). I remember this as pleasant, but it made no huge impression on me.
42. (bottle) Bagder Golden Champion (4.5%). I remember Badger used to do a beer that lierally tasted of peaches, and I thought it was this one - I was wong. It was ok, but not what I'd hoped for.

No/Lo
22. (can) Brewdog Nanny State (0.5%). I'm not a fan of the Punk IPA, but get on with Punkk AF. This raised my hopes for the Nanny State, but I was disappointed. I'm still not sure if it was the beer or my expectations that were the problem.
23. (bottle) Clausthaler Unfiltered Non-alchoholic beer (0.4%). I wouldn't want to spend the whole night on this, but I enjoyed it. Reminded me of Brooklyn Special Effects, which coincidentally(?) has the exact same ABV.

Vegan beers are pretty standard now, basically leav it Hhazy. No big deal. Some Hazy beers can be terrifically badly made though. I am getting quite concerned atbthe lack of a straight forward tasty bitter, as well as the current trend to call beers things they aren't, see IPA, Golden, etc...

So today was a milestone as I reached 100 different keg or cask beers. At some point this evening I will update my list and post in its entirety. Sadly the beer that brought up the 100 is one I actually disliked. Mad Squirrel Table beer which was almost a sour in taste. But 101 was much nicer.

Having reached 50 cans in Feb I have only been counting cask/keg beers
Interestingly looking OS’s list there is only 4 or 5 that overlap so the brewery scene does appear to be quite regionally diverse

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
